Obituary of Lillian Inez Lunday

Lillian Inez Lunday, 84, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2018.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Buford Allen Harris and Della Hammers Harris; her first husband, George Lunday; second husband, Marvin Shippey; son, Michael Allen Lunday; brother, Calvin Harris; sister, Sybil Allene Fouche and great grandchild Tristan.  Left to cherish her memory is her son, Dennis Lunday and wife, Barbara; daughters, Linda Diane Carmean and husband, Bill, Lisa Stout and husband, John; sister, Alice Joy; grandchildren, Shannon, Tammy, Heather, Denny, Jason, Timmy, Elisa, Cameron, Cody, Lacey, Lauren, and Emily; great grandchildren, Raoul IV, Nash, River, Bentley, Lennon, Holley, Shelby, Kristen, Kendall, Dylan, Aria, Kami, Gianni, Genio, Billy, Rowdy, , Ben, Morgan, Cameron, Maggie, Tanner, Jacob and Jack; great-great grandchild, Briar; and a host of other family and friends.

Lillian loved the Texans, especially JJ Watt. She enjoyed vacationing in Ouray, Colorado, where she and her family lived in the 70’s. She liked getting the rare opportunity to talk to and catch up with her childhood friends. Lillian cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren, they were her everything. She was extremely generous and always wanted to give birthday and Christmas gifts to all the children in the family, even if she didn’t have it to give. She adored her family and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Services for Lillian will be held Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Clayton Funeral Home – La Porte, 201 South 3^rd Street, La Porte, Texas 77571.  The visitation will begin at 10:00 am and the funeral service will follow at 11:00 am with Pastor Kicker McWilliams officiating.  Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery in Pasadena, Texas.
