Vickie was a loving and caring wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who cherished the joy and laughter of family when everyone was together.  She was strong in her Catholic faith and devoted to Jesus Christ and the Virgin Mary.  Vickie was an active member at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Manvel and took great pride in sharing her faith with family and friends.  Her faith was never more evident than in her prayers for those in need or in her kindness and generosity to strangers.  Vickie enjoyed taking writing classes where she could share her favorite short stories about her family experiences.  She loved watching her beloved Houston Astros and cheering on their World Series championship.  Vickie enjoyed working as an attendance clerk and a teacher’s aide for the Alvin school district so that she could always be around kids.  She had a wonderful sense of humor and will forever be remembered for inspiring everyone around her with her courage and faithfulness throughout her illness.  Vickie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Due to restrictions at the National Cemetery of only allowing three floral arrangements, the family strongly requests that donations be made in Vickie’s honor to Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church for the new tabernacle.  Please make donations to Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 6502 County Road 48, Manvel, Texas 77578 with a note in the memo line of checks for the tabernacle.
