Obituary of Nicholas Harlan Weir

Nicholas Harlan Weir, 35, passed away Thursday, November 8, 2018.  Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Craig and Debra Weir; sisters, Tiffany Perez, Kristina Stewart, Ashley Gorelik and husband, Oleg; his beloved dog, Polly; and a host of other family and dear friends.

Nick was extremely driven and started his own IT support business, NW3 Technology. He was a kind soul who never met a stranger and once he made a friend, it was for life. Much to his mothers dismay he enjoyed cartoons like, Beavis and Butthead, Family Guy, SouthPark, and American Dad. Nick spent more time preparing for a night out than his sisters did. He was always “styling”, continuously went to the gym, believed in always looking good, and making a good impression; he was city boy through and through. Fiercely independent and overly stubborn, Nick was opinionated, especially regarding politics and current events, and he loved debating his point. He was a wise-cracking comedian who could take a serious situation and make it hilarious. Although he was told 5 years ago that he was eligible for disability, Nick continued to work up until the end. After his first fight of rejection from transplant, he was told that he would never be off oxygen. Two months later he was breathing on his own and rehabbing himself. Nick adored his dog Polly and loved his family dearly, especially his dad, although they occasionally bumped heads. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, the Weir family asks that donations be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  

Services for Nicholas will be held Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581.  The visitation will be held from 10:00 until 11:00 am with the funeral service starting at 11:00 am, with Randy Ledbetter officiating.
