Obituary of Linda Katherine Reed

Linda Katherine Reed, 69, passed away Friday, December 25, 2018.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Alphonse and Hilda Petter; daughter, Chrystal Lynn Wilkerson; brothers, Harvey and Lee Roy Petter; and sister, Geraldine Bell.  Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 27 years, Gary Reed; son, Clayton Reed; sister, Florence Horton and husband, Mack; and a host of other family and dear friends.

Linda worked for more than 25 years at SEARCH Homeless Services where she worked in the Accounting Department.  She enjoyed gardening and sharing the fresh vegetables her son grew.  Linda loved traveling and meeting new and fascinating people along the way.  She enjoyed dancing to Country music and sitting on the back porch on cool evenings.  Family was extremely important to Linda and sharing stories and a glass of wine with her sisters were always special to her.  Linda will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Services for Linda will be held Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581.  The visitation will be held from 9:00 until 10:00 am with the funeral service following beginning at 10:00 am with Deacon Michael Garcia officiating.  Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston, Texas.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.claytonfuneralhomes.com.
