Maximino Martinez, age 61 of Rosharon, passed away on August 5, 2010. He is preceded in death by his mother Guadalupe (Alejandro) Martinez. He is survived by his father, Juan Martinez; his wife of 34 years, Guadalupe Martinez, son, Maximino Martinez, Jr. and wife Sandybell; daughters, Belen Martinez and Florencia Martinez; brothers, Juan Martinez, Rito Martinez, Domingo Martinez, Cenobio Martinez, Cruz Martinez, Pedro Martinez, Pablo Martinez, and Alberto Martinez; sisters Paula Martinez , Guadalupe Martinez, China Martinez, Virginia Martinez, Juana Martinez, and Concepcion Martinez; and grandchildren, Ariana, Nicholas, and Maximino Isaias Martinez. Maximino was a dedicated, hard-working father and husband that always put his family first. He was a very happy person who always loved family gatherings and was affectionately known to his grandchildren as “Welo.” He and Guadalupe enjoyed 34 wonderful years together. He came from a large family and loved his family very much. He was a great friend to everyone who knew him. Maximino was an avid reader and a man of very strong faith who spent a great deal of his time reading the Bible. He was a wonderful example to all of his family and he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. The visitation will take place on Sunday, August 8, 2010 at the Clayton Funeral Home Chapel from 6pm to 8pm with the Rosary beginning at 7pm with Deacon Cruz Trujillo presiding. The Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, August 9, 2010 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church 6502 CR 48 Manvel, Texas 77578 at 11am with Rev. Charles E. Lynch C.S.B. officiating.
