I went to school with Scott in Park Forest Illinois he was a nice guy and had an interesting history coming from England. He attended several of parties at my parents house for birthdays and I lost track of him and now he’s gone. RIP Scott. Call but not forgotten. That’s Scott in the photo lower left with glasses in the striped shirt.

My deepest condolences to all of Scotty’s family and friends.
I had the real privilege to have lived with him back in the ‘80s.
He was a good friend, a great man, a leader for good men. He was always the one with a clear head a sharp view. He helped me through some turbulent times and I will be forever greatful.
Living with him was a delight, and I wish I had half his wit and good humor. Surely he will be missed by a multitude people.
THE PASAGE OF A TRUELY GOOD MAN.
In sadness and respect, Richard Eurich.

Naughton and Diving Family:
I had a very difficult time trying to decide whether to come to Houston. My husband and I live overseas three months a year, and we just returned to the States when I received this heartbreaking news about losing Scotty. I've sat for many hours pouring over so many memories of Scott and his professional and personal relationship with Rob and I... remembering each J & J/Cal-Dive guy and their wife and wondering if I would recognize them. I thought about who was gone... Gary, Shadow, Morgan and Orrin. All of these people were such a big part of my life for decades... family. I will hold you in my heart forever Scott "Nautical" Naughton. You were, and are, SO LOVED. See you on the other side.

Thank you for being a great boss and friend. Your kind and generous spirit will live on in my heart. My only regret is finding you too late to reconnect and visit. Cheers to our work days at J&J and Cal Dve and all the smiles and laughs.

Scotty gave me a start in this industry in 1985. I was 18 years old and part way through diving school at San Jacinto Jr. College. My only quality at the time was the tenacity to ask for a job every day. Although I have not seen Scotty in over 20 years I recall that positive impact he had on my life 34 years ago. Rest In Peace Scotty!

This past week I’ve been thinking of Scotty and that small group of us that bought Cal Dive 30 years ago—of his humor in our PL meetings and of all the just plain fun we had working together in those early years! A great guy who made such a positive impact on so many lives. May you rest in peace Scotty.

Scotty was a great leader and dear friend, and I enjoyed working with him for many years until my retirement and then enjoying a meal and fine wine at his home prepared especially for my wife Suzanne and I. He was a great guy and generous to a fault, and was always there to help lift you up.
He will be sorely missed
May the Good Lord welcome his home!
Always
