Shelly was/is a truly wonderful person. Even though Denise and I are 1500 miles away now we still have very fond memories of her and Matt. Most importantly is that when we see her again it will not be just for a short visit but rather for eternity. She has a heart to help others and that is certainly what she will be doing. Shelly we love you forever!

Although it’s been many years since I’ve seen Shelly, I have fond memories of her during our teen years at church functions. She was a genuinely sweet person and funny too. Years later, she helped me one school year by picking up my daughter from Longfellow Elem and caring for her. I recently found her 4-layer pudding dessert recipe; I will be making in her honor. She was a blessing to all who knew her; my heartfelt prayers go out to her family during this difficult time.

I haven’t seen Shelly in 30 years but I still have the best memories of her. We were all best friends growing up in the church. She was the kindest person ever and the best friend most people only dream of having. I always knew she would make the best momma and wife. I will miss Shelly. My heart just breaks for her family. This world just lost an angel. Rest In Peace, my beautiful friend.

To Shelly’s family,
We pray you will find comfort in the legacy Shelly left for all of you. The love and goodwill she gave so freely is still there to guide and comfort you.
The greatest compliment we can pay to Shelly, is to pass on to each other that love and goodwill, to live by the example she lived by.
And yes, Shelly was a dear sweet person, loved by all she touched, including her furry pals.
God speed

When Shelly was in her early teens, she played football in our front yard with my three sons. She played as well, if not better than the boys. I remember that my boys all wanted her on their team. She will surely be missed. Our deepest sympathy to the family.

Jenkins family, I am so very sorry to hear of Shelly’s passing. I so enjoyed sitting with her at ballgames when the boys were young. Then we reconnected when the boys were in high school together in FFA. We would share our ‘mother of boys’ stories and just laugh. Shelly was an amazing loving person. Love and hugs for you all. You are all in my prayers.

Mrs. Shelly was like another mom to all of us growing up. She made a point to always have an open and warm loving house for all of us to come over and hang out after school and on the weekends. Mrs. Shelly could make the most amazing sandwiches and we would laugh has the boys would throw pickles at her lol. After graduating from college I had gotten my first teaching job as a math teacher. I was so scared because math was not my favorite subject at the time; Mrs. Shelly sat with me for a weekend before school started and gave me so much material and different techniques and ideas to use in the classroom that I still use today 8 years later. Mrs. Shelly thank you for loving us and thank you for being a part of our lives. We will miss you but we know you are looking down. Rest easy sweet angel.

I met Shelly at our PH support group and immediately knew she was a special lady, warm and friendly. I was thrilled for her gift of transplant and how well she recovered.
She saw I was struggling and gave me her father’s scooter after we had lunch with Mary and another friend. My husband and I stopped by the fruit market on the way home and will always think of her whenever I go there.
Her family obviously had a beautiful woman in their life. May those memories help in this time of pain. Breathe freely lovely friend❤️
