Obituary of Ricky Andrew Harmon LeGrand

Ricky Andrew Harmon LeGrand, age 47, of La Porte, Texas went to be with his Lord on July 30, 2019, in Mobile, Alabama.

Ricky was born in Little Rock, Arkansas to Gayle McCartney and Jimmy Harmon on May 12, 1972. He graduated from Deer Park High School in 1991.

He worked as a third party inspector for Fulkrum Technical Resources. He had worked as a third party inspector for the oil and gas industry for 15 years.

Ricky loved life, his family and friends. He enjoyed music, attended many concerts and always came home with at least one t-shirt from each. He enjoyed playing golf and would sometimes play all weekend just so a friend wouldn't feel left out. Ricky loved collecting fitted baseball caps; his cap rack holds 144 caps and it's overflowing.

Ricky is survived by the love of his life, Lilia LeGrand, son Sergio (Tristan) Afre, mother Gayle McCartney-Hoevelman, father Robin Hoevelman, brother James LeGrand, sister-in-law Melissa, nieces Olivia and Emma, brother William JP Hoevelman, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his son John Calvin Conley, grandmother Martha Hoevelman and Jimmy Harmon.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 A.M., on Monday, August 5, 2019, at Bayshore Baptist Church, located at 11315 Spencer Highway, La Porte, Texas. A celebration of life service will be held directly after the visitation, at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Ben Rosenberger officiating. Clayton Funeral Home will be handling all the arrangements.

Memorial donations can be made to the Bayshore Baptist Church Benevolence Committee, to which the family extends its deepest gratitude.
