Obituary of Tamara Renea Kissiar

Please share a memory of Tamara to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Tamara “Tammie” Renea Kissiar, 60, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2019.  She is preceded in death by her parents Ivan Rhodes and Dorothy DeSherlia; her loving husband of 40 years, Clete Kissiar; son, Shawn Smith; and brothers, Frank and Bruce Rhodes.  Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Stefanie Kissiar (Johnny Joy), Shae Kissiar (Rachel); brothers, Mike Rhodes (Marsha), Rick Rhodes (Angie); sister, Lisa Kious (Wayne); sister-in-law, Deb Rhodes; grandson, Travis Finch; and a host of other family and dear friends.

Tammie loved angels and butterflies.  She was the most unselfish person and would do anything for anybody.  Travis was her best friend.  She adored him with her whole heart.  She helped so much since the day Travis was born. He was her everything.  Family was so very important to her.  Tammie was so easy to talk to and gave the best advice.  As she got older, she wouldn’t sugarcoat things and would tell you exactly what she thought.  We would pick on her a little with her OCD habits.  Her cooking was phenomenal.  Before her sickness, she loved to cook.  Her two favorite foods were crab legs and carrot cake.  She was affectionally known as “Nana”.  Tammie had a kind and gentle spirit that will be missed and her witty way never forgotten.

A Memorial Service for Tammie will be held Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 10:00 am at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581 with Pastor Keith Anderson officiating.
