Betty Jean Rogers, born in Houston, Texas on March 12, 1925, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2008. She is preceded in death by her husband, G.W. Rogers, her parents, Trusten and Lura Hume, her brother Elburn Hume and her sister Doris Thomas. She leaves behind her 4 daughters and their husbands, Jeannie & Johnny Taylor, Sherry & Frank Pulkinen, Karen & Kirk Michael, and Julie & Scott Dombrowski. She also leaves 8 grandchildren, Sheila Brenton & husband Dana, Stephen Taylor & wife Tracy, Jeff Pulkinen & wife Kristi, Carrie Wallace & husband Clint, Ryan Michael & wife Shannon, Barrett Michael, Tasha Beale & husband Patrick and Austin Dombrowski. She also leaves 7 great grandchildren, Collin & Gavin Taylor, Tyler & Travis Pulkinen & Carissa, Cailey and Zoe Wallace, several nieces and nephews, many other family members and many dear friends. Betty lived life with the hand of Jesus Christ as her guide. She was loving, caring, and humble to all those who knew her. She was always completely devoted to her family and touched everyone with her strong Christian and moral values. Visitation for Betty will be held at Clayton Funeral Home from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, February 12, 2008. Funeral services are at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at Clayton Funeral Home. Officiating will be Pastor Keith Anderson of New Harvest Church. Interment will follow at Rosewood Cemetery in Humble, Texas.
