Claire was strategic and very active in the formation of the La Porte Girls' Softball Association. She was a coach, a board member and she and her family built the first Lomax Concession stand, maintained the Lomax fields and the Shoreacres field. She went on to assist in coaching the Galveston Islandettes and more recently, lived for baseball season and was one of the Astros biggest fans. Her talents and attributes are a laundry list of accomplishments.
