Obituary of Arthur Albert

Arthur Albert, 83 passed away at home on January 2, 2020 in Seabrook, Texas. He was bon on September 23, 1936 on the island of St. Lucia to Richard Ferdenan and Sylvia Albert. He first moved to St. Croix, U.S.V.I. before finally settling in Seabrook, Texas. He was a painter and offshoreman before retiring. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 50 years, Emilia Albert and his children, Danius Regis, Liryle Augustin, Muriel Albert, Vexilla Albert, Collins Albert, Maryann Albert and Vernessa Crawford and son-in-law Robert Crawford. He is also survived by his grandchildren Corona (Evian) Augustin, Dylan Augustin, Spencer Albert, Lance Augustin, Jenyda Augustin, Jabari Augustin, Charissa Augustin, Cressida Albert, Kerwin Albert, Kerlin Albert, Nancy Albert, Peterson Albert, Morgan Bell, Noelle Albert, Xavier Crawford, great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and six sisters. Arthur was an excellent provider and loved his family and friends dearly. He loved gardening, playing dominoes and cards, and spending time with loved ones. Arthur enjoyed watching his favorite western movies, wrestling and In the Heat of the Night. He cherished spending time with his children and grandchildren who referred to him as Papa. Arthur will forever be remembered for his sense of humor, the nicknames given to the ones he would meet and his straight talk. He never met a stranger and loved his friends dearly. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Services for Arthur will be held Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Bayshore Baptist Church, 11315 Spencer Highway, La Porte, Texas 77571. The visitation will be held from 10:00 until 11:00 am with the funeral service following at 11:00 am with Pastor Ben Rosenberger officiating. Interment will follow at La Porte Cemetery in La Porte, Texas.
