Obituary of Carolyn Pearl Kidd

Please share a memory of Carolyn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Carolyn Pearl Kidd, 82, a longtime resident of Fresno, Texas, passed away Saturday, June 6th, at Houston Methodist Hospital. Carolyn, an angel here on earth, a child of God, devoted wife, loving mother, caring grandmother, adoring great grandmother, dear sister, loyal cousin, faithful sister-in-law, warmhearted aunt, and kind friend. She loved unconditionally, admiring the strengths and knowing the struggles of all those she held close. She was a good listener and listened with no judgement. She lived daily with a sense of humor, a warm and caring nature, and grace in her heart. Born in Shaw, MS, on July 13,1937, and later moved to San Antonio, TX, where she attended school. In 1958, she married her husband James C. Kidd and moved to Houston, Texas, and the whole family followed; Ruth, Joann, Benny; the in-laws Mom, Joann, Harvey, Lilly; and dear friend, Irene. In 1959, they raised their only son, Jimmy Jr. with and near extended family and relocated to Fresno, Texas in 1979. The year her only grandson, Brandon, was born who made her so happy. Carolyn was Christian proud, family proud, and house proud. She surrounded herself with scriptures, family, and she made her house a pleasant place to spend her days. She displayed grace and love in many ways, she lived her daily life putting God and family first. She was very spiritual and immersed herself in God’s word. She loved her husband, she loved her family, she loved her friends and she loved her animals. She loved spending time with her family. She loved the outdoors, driving and taking off across the country on the road, and enjoyed their many and adventurous hunting trips. She loved celebrating holidays, supper at Luby’s, monthly girl’s birthday luncheons, phone calls, and Zoom calls. She was filled with joy after talking with her grandson, Brandon, his wife Jennifer and their sons, Brandon and Jonathon. Her face would light up and her heart was full. She was a leader to all of us in our fellowship. She encouraged us and lifted our spirits. After spending time with her, we left with a warm smile on our face and grace in our hearts. We loved her and thought she was an angel on earth. Let your speech always be with grace. — Colossians 4:6. Carolyn was grace. Always. Carolyn is survived by her husband James, grandson Brandon and his wife Jennifer and great grandsons Brandon Jacob and Jonathan; cousins Debbie and Jody; in-laws Joann, Harvey, Lilly, and Carolyn Francis; nieces Julie, Kathy, Ellen, Cyndi, and Carolyn; nephew Randy; and many more nieces, nephews, and dear friends. In 2018, her only son, Jimmy Jr, went to be with the Lord where they are both angels walking the streets of gold. Carolyn, we love you. You will be in our hearts until we walk the streets of gold and hold you in our arms, again. Carolyn will be cremated and given to her grandson, Brandon and family; cousins Debbie and Jody; and nieces Julie, Kathy, Ellen, Cyndi, and Carolyn. Smile with love when you think of her – when you’re spending time with your family – that would please and honor her.
