We all grew up in Northampton together and my husband and I graduated from Klein High School with Bud Wofford. I was lucky enough to spend time at the Wofford house listening to Bud play the drums and getting to know his family. Mrs. Wofford was a very special lady. She had a wonderful sense of humor and such a kind heart. She loved all her students and was always willing to take the time to help us in any way she could. She had a positive impact on many of us and will be remembered with great fondness. Sending prayers to Wes and all her family.

I had Mrs. Woffard as my English teacher ('72) and remember how funny she was, how hard she was, but also how much she cared! I know she'll be missed by family and friends. Lifting them up!

Spoke of her many many times in my life, especially to my children due to her influence in my early life. Learned English & personal self-esteem which she seemed to know I needed. Mrs. Wofford was special to me & part of my lessons for life which I kept with me & passed to my children. My sympathy & prayers to her family & all who loved her. Heaven has another Angel!

She was also my English teacher (class of ‘71) and I never remember a time that she didn’t have a smile on her face ....even when she was chewing you out for something. She always wore those pointed high heels that she used on us rowdy guys by lovingly kicking us in the shins to get/keep our attention. It never really hurt but you didn’t take your attention off of her while she was talking. Just imagine if a teacher did that these days....probably prison time! She was a well dressed classy lady in those days and probably continued to be that until the calling from our Lord. To this day, I have occasionally thought of her and how she was loved by so many in those early years. May she have eternal rest with our Creator.

Oh my goodness, along with Laura Cline in the 70/71 school year, Ms Wofford was my favorite teacher. She pushed me to truly excel, she taught me amazing writing skills, such that all my college professors always raved to me about how well I had been "trained", and how fortunate I was to have been her student! She pushed me in my senior year to submit an essay to University of Houston English department, which resulted in my winning of the scholarship which was being offered by UH that year. Such a wonderful woman, such a wonderful soul. My deepest condolences to the family, from a former student who has carried this amazing person in her heart for the past 50 years!

Our condolences to the Wofford family on the loss of such an amazing, caring and loved person. It was such a pleasure to get to know Virginia as she shared her amazing life experiences with all she met. We are just heartbroken to hear of her passing and are comforted by the words at Isaiah 41:10 knowing God will comfort us through this painful loss. We will miss her infectious smile and loving care and dedication for young ones that surpassed her retirement.
Love,
Jess, Victoria, Jaden, Malia Macias

Jan and I send our loving prayers to all the family. Although we were not privileged to meet Virginia we enjoyed reading about her life accomplishments. We have heard so much about her through recent years in our friendship with Wes and CeCe.
Having two teachers in our family we truly appreciate her accomplishments in education. Her legacy will live on as she lives with our Jesus in Heaven.

My fondest memories of my troubled youth in KOHS are of the wonderful lady. I would not have graduated had it not been for her. She watched over me and made sure that I made it through each and every day at school. I will never forget her.
