Obituary of Bartolome Villazorda Sasam

Bartolome Villazorda Sasam, 64, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2020. He is preceded in death by his parents, Eduardo and Sofronia Sasam; brothers, Robert Sasam, Ricardo Sasam, Socrates Sasam, Eddie Sasam; and sister, Marina Sasam Abudiente. Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Christian Sasam, Carlo Sasam, and Bartolome Sasam Jr.; daughter, Kristine Sasam; the love of his life, Sylvia Sasam; brothers, Jimmy Sasam, Eduardo Sasam Jr. and Noel Sasam; sisters, Imelda Sasam dela Rama, Josephine Sasam, and Genevieve Sasam Canoy; grandchildren, Victoria, J.K., Noah, Bella, Jason, Riley, and a host of other family and friends. Bart left this world, happy, successful, loved, but way too soon. He was a self-starter who successfully built a business and family. Bart was a problem solver who could fix anything. He was an avid historian who was curious about the world and the people in it. Bart believed in the value of getting a quality education. He always strived to make sure his family was taken care of, be it life lessons, food, drink or laughs. Bart loved being able to cheer everyone up with his guitar playing. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and showing them magic tricks. Bart was the life of any party with his jokes and stories. He was a great coach for multiple generations of tennis players. Bart loved to work on his Harley motorcycle and ride it with friends and family. He was always ready, always prepared. His guidance, early morning music, crazy jokes, interesting stories, and his ability to always have the right thing to say in any situation will be greatly missed by his family. It is ironic that one of Bart’s favorite songs was “The Sound of Silence”. Because that is all we hear now: the painful sound of silence in a world without Bart Sasam Sr. We love you Pepsi. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. The Visitation for Bartolome will be held Wednesday, October 21, 2020 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm, with a Rosary recited at 6:00 pm, at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 West Broadway, Pearland Texas. The Funeral Mass will take place Thursday, October 22, 2020 at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Community Church, 6502 County Road 48, Manvel, Texas, with Father Tom Ponzini officiating. Interment will follow are Houston Memorial Gardens in Pearland, Texas.
