Stacy Berryman Smith, better known as “JoJo” by her grandson and grandpups, passed away on October 31, 2020 at the age of 61 years old with her sisters by her side in Manvel, TX. Stacy was born October 6, 1959 in Tyler, TX and lived in multiple other cities with her family, including Sacramento, CA, Alness, Scotland, and Austin, TX. Stacy was a hard-working and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed spending time with loved ones, going to the beach, and sipping a cup of coffee on the back porch. Stacy was a very loving and kind soul, who took great joy in playing with her grandson, Baker. She was also a member of Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler and known for her many online posts for pets that were in need of their “furever homes” from the SPCA of East Texas. Stacy is survived by her son, Andrew Smith, and his wife and son, Abbey and Baker Smith; her daughter, Alyssa Smith; her longtime partner, Curt Timbs; her 3 sisters and their husbands, Stephany and Gil Felty, Starla and Andy Dalmolin, and Stana and Tom Gaboury; and her beloved “other parents” Bob and Florence Wrigley, among many cherished cousins, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Billy and Bonnie Berryman; her uncle and aunt, Lee Roy and Jackie Berryman; her grandmother Donnie “Meemie” Simons; and her uncle, David Leath. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2020 in Tyler, TX. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to one of the following organizations: Essential Hospice and Palliative Care - Webster, TX, Bethesda Health Clinic - Tyler, TX, or the SPCA of East Texas.
