Margaret Louise Boyer, 95, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2020. She is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Anna Voss; her loving husband, William Boyer; daughter, Colleen Wood; brother, Andrew Voss; and sister, Thelma Henderson. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Leslie Fluke and husband, Steve, & Melissa Thamann; grandchildren, Shannon Farrimond and husband Brad, Brian Wood and wife Salley, Allyson White and husband Daryl, Sean Wood and wife Beth, Stefanie Fluke, Elizabeth Polak and husband Brian, Jessica Thamann; ten great grandchildren and a host of other family and dear friends. Margaret was born and raised in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, graduated from high school and attended McKeesport Hospital School of Nursing where she completed her R.N. degree. She worked for many years at McKeesport Hospital. Her mother introduced her to the love of her life, William (Bill), and they celebrated 69 wonderful years together. Margaret and her family enjoyed vacationing and traveling together. In the summers, the family visited the Jersey Shore, and in the winters, skiing either locally or in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. One of their favorite family trips was to Hawaii where they visited the Pearl Harbor National Memorial including the USS Arizona. Her most memorable travel was a church trip to Rome, Italy to visit the Vatican and other prominent city destinations. Margaret cherished spending time with her family and rejoiced any time the family could get together to celebrate important milestones, a favorite being their 90th birthday. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
