We give thanks and praise to God for the life of our beloved husband, father, brother and friend, Gregory “Woogie” Keller. Our heavenly father called Gregory to rest in peace from his earthly labor on Tuesday, December 22, 2020. Gregory Keller was born September 3, 1956 to the late Elna Mae Hector Keller and James Keller Sr. Greg graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1975, Port Arthur, TX and then attended Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, TX where he was an All Star basketball player at both institutions. He worked for the City of La Porte until retirement. Greg was an avid sports fan and loved cheering on his favorite team, the Pittsburg Steelers. He was devoted to his family and he loved to fish and cook BBQ for his family and friends. Greg was blessed to celebrate his 27th wedding anniversary with his wife Mary on December 18, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents Elna Mae Keller and James Keller Sr.; Brother, James Keller Jr. Greg leaves to cherish the memories of his life: his wife of 27 years, Mary Keller of La Porte, Texas; Daughters, Nicole Alexander of La Porte, Texas; Mesha Tisdel of Houston, Texas; Son, Erinton Gabriel (Taffi) of Conroe, Texas; Brothers, Elvin Keller Sr. of Houston, Texas; Desryl “Keith” Keller (Faye) of Port Arthur, Texas; Cornelius Harmon (Cheriska) of Houston, Texas; Grandchildren; Taylor, Tyler, Empress, Niara, Amari and Mark Anthony; Great Grandchild; Princeton; Close Friend; Frankie Lewis of La Porte, Texas; and a host of family and friends. Services for Gregory will be held January 2, 2021 at the Clayton Funeral Home, 201 S 3rd St. La Porte, TX. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM and service to follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Houston Memorial Gardens Pearland. The Service will be streamed on Facebook. Click on online stream and send facebook friend request to watch service.
