Obituary of Audrey Theresa Beatty

Audrey Theresa Beatty, 88, passed away February 14. She was proceeded in death by her, parents; Earl Joseph Quick and Dorothy Shultz Quick, husband; Ashley Beatty Jr, brothers; Richard Earl Quick, Kenneth Wayne Quick, and Michael Joseph Quick, sisters; Celista Joan Burke, and Dorothy Erline Quick, Family left to cherish her memory are, sons; Ash Beatty III and wife Ann, Art Beatty and wife Dawn, daughter; Connie Beatty Mack, sisters; Jacqueline Anne McKusker, Loretta Jude Sterle, Vivian Inez Franklin, and Peggy Ford, grandchildren; Preston Mack and wife Tricia, Daniel Mack and wife Lisa, Donald Mack and Monica, Savannah Beatty, Ryan Beatty, Christopher Beatty, Brayden Mack. great granddaughter, Tiana, and a host of other family and friends.
Audrey was born in Houston and raised in Port Arthur. She attended Port Arthur Schools and graduated from Port Arthur High School in 1950. After graduation she earned her degree and became a Registered Nurse. On November 16, 1957 she married the love of her life, Ashley Beatty Jr. Ashley and Audrey enjoyed 57 wonderful years of marriage. In 1972 Audrey began her career as part of the the original staff of Clear Lake Regional Hospital as an R.N. and scrub nurse. In 1987 Ash’s job transferred them to Egypt. While in Egypt the couple traveled extensively in the Middle East, the Mediterranean and Europe. After returning to the states, Audrey and Ash traveled the U.S. in their R.V.; Audrey enjoyed traveling and exploring the world was special to her. Audrey loved spending time in the outdoors especially fishing, hunting, and boating. She was a long time parishioner of Saint Mary of the Expectation Catholic Church in League City. Grandma will always be cherished by her grandchildren who loved her, doted on her, and adored her.
Audrey's smile, spirit, and love for life will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Services for Audrey will be: Visitation / Rosary: Thursday February 25, 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Clayton Funeral Home Chapel 201 S 3rd St LaPorte, Funeral Mass: Friday February 26, 10:00 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church 1612 E Walker St. League City.
