Obituary of Armando Villanueva

Armando Villanueva, 73, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Margarita Villanueva; daughter Esmeralda Villanueva; daughter-in-law Mona Villanueva; brother, Edward Villanueva: and sisters, Mary Villanueva Garza and Ester Montoya. Left to cherish Armando’s memory are his loving wife, Rosario Villanueva; sons, Officer Ernest Villanueva and fiancé Nikki, Armando Villanueva Jr., Israel Villanueva and wife, Sonia. Patrick Hernandez and wife, Mey, Jeremiah Villanueva and fiancé, Araceli; daughters, Betty Cantu and husband, Ruben, Lina Cantu and husband, Javier, Janet Barron and husband, Ricardo; brothers, Joe Villanueva, Johnny Villanueva; sisters, Hope, Linda and Sylvia; grandchildren, Ernest Jr., Ezra, Ezekiel, Ruben Jr., Esmeralda, Joseph, Disiray, Justin, Kayla, Michael, Ashley, Lauren, Hannah, Joshua, Israel II, Ashley, Yessenia, Amber, Alicia, Meray, Jerel, Jevin, Josolin, Patrick Jr., Brice, Haven, Linisa, Brooke, Natalia, Damian, Daniel; 23 plus great grandchildren and a host of other dear family and friends. Armando worked in the Chemical Refinery industry for forty plus years. He was a hard worker who ran circles around the younger crew and took great pride in his work. He proudly served as a boilermaker and pipefitter as well as a foreman on several projects. His talents also were as a “shade tree mechanic” who fixed car/trucks for both family and friends. Armando was able and available to help family and friends with any of their home repairs or improvement projects. While he enjoyed talking and socializing with friends and family, he was also a big Oilers & Astro fan and headed to the stadium any chance he received. Armando loved to talk about politics and could go on for hours. He lived a full life that included dancing, fishing and hanging out at the beach. He was always ready for a BBQ and took great pleasure in hosting his family and friends. Armando will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Services tor Armando will be held at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 West Broadway, Pearland, Texas. Visitation is scheduled on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be held Thursday, March 4, 2021 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery.
