Please share a memory of Beverly to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Beverly “Bev” Pugh Llenos passed away peacefully Monday, March 1, in Pearland, Texas. Beverly was born January 7, 1940, in Corsicana, Texas and lived there until she moved to Huntsville, Texas, to earn her teaching degree at Sam Houston State Teachers College. Bev loved teaching and she was loved by her students. She began her career in and retired from Alvin Independent School District. Her passion for teaching and education lasted long after she left the classroom as she continued to advocate and support education long after her retirement. Bev, known as “B” to her five grandchildren, loved her family, her friends, and an occasional Froberg’s fried pie. Her smile was contagious, and she always had a chuckle for a bad joke or when giving one of her son’s a hard time. She was part of many organizations in Alvin and made friends all along the way. Bev is preceded in death by her parents Edna and Charles Pugh. She is survived by son, Mike and his wife Becky; son, Ryan and his wife Rebecca; and daughter, Katie and her husband Chance Smith. She is also survived by the lights of her life: her grandchildren, Colton, and wife Karina; Hunter; Morgan; Alexis and Charlie. The family wishes to thank Windsong Care Center, their owners, and staff for the wonderful care and attention they showed Bev. A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 7, at 2:00 pm at First United Methodist Church Pearland, 2314 N. Grand Blvd; Pearland, 77581. Covid-19 protocols and social distancing will be in place. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Dementia Society, www.dementiasociety.org; FUMC Pearland, www.fumcpearland.org, or the charity of your choice.
