Obituary of Ricky Stone

Curtis “Ricky” Stone passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2021. He is preceded in death by his father, Curtis Stone. Left to cherish Ricky’s memory are his mother, Loma Stone; daughters Shannon Marie Davis and husband, Shawn, Nicole Christina Holley and husband, Steven; sister, Sandra Stone; grandchildren, Chloe Davis, Sydney Davis, Brady Davis, Mariella Holley, Juliet Holley, and a host of other dear family and friends. Ricky proudly served in the United States Navy for six years, with tours in Guam, Japan, and Italy. Following serving in the Navy, Ricky worked as a regional manager for Taco Bell and lived in Florida. He later moved back home to Houston, Texas. Ricky was an avid sportsman prior to his diagnosis of MS. He played in golf tournaments and won several trophies. He loved cheering on his favorite baseball and football teams, the Houston Astros and Tennessee Titans. Ricky loved the Lord and was an active member of his church, the Pearland Church of Christ. His faith was his number one priority in life. Next to God, Ricky cherished his family and friends, especially his daughters, five grandchildren, beloved mother and sister as well as his lifelong friends. Ricky had a wonderful sense of humor and was known by his family and friends to be quite a jokester. Those who knew and loved Ricky will miss him tremendously, however, find comfort in knowing he is no longer suffering and is now truly at peace. Services for Ricky will be held on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at the Pearland Church of Christ, 2217 N. Grand Blvd., Pearland, Texas. Visitation will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 am. The funeral service is scheduled at 11:00 am, with Chris Lindelof officiating. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery.
