Obituary of Amber Anne Arteaga

On Saturday, April 17th, 2021, Amber Anne Arteaga, passed away due to complications of the Coronavirus at the age of 33. She was born in Independence, LA on August 24, 1987, grew up in Ponchatoula, LA, and lived in Texas for the last 15 years.
Amber was the cherished daughter of Ruben and Linda Arteaga. Amber Anne was her mother’s answered prayer and “little angel from heaven.” She is survived by the true love of her life, Joseph Lopez; her father, Ruben (Rebecca); her brothers: Anthony (Ashley), Austin (Rachael), Aaron (Maria), Adam (Lauren), Walter Kitchen; her grandmother, Bobbie Anne Faulk; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Amber was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Faulk Arteaga; her grandfather, Judge William “Billy” Faulk, Sr.; and her grandparents, Remberto Arteaga and Elva Arteaga.
Amber loved to read and was a life-long learner. She had a newfound love for crafting and filled her spare time with books and crafts. Amber was the ultimate caregiver. She devoted many years to caring for her mother during her battle with cancer. She was currently working on her bachelor’s degree with plans to further her education and career in the medical profession.
A memorial service celebrating Amber’s life will be held on Saturday April 24, 2021, at 3:00 pm at Iglesia Principe De Paz, Brownsville, TX.
