Joan Davis Sandhop, born December 2, 1945 in North Reading, Massachusetts, passed away March 31, 2008 after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents Roland and Eunice Lillie and her grandson, Shane Keith. She is survived by her loving husband Fred; daughter Jody Gedosch, her husband Steve and daughter Shelby; daughter Jennifer Bartosh, her husband Jon and son Cannon; brother Lee Lillie; sister Ellen King and her husband Brian. Joan graduated from Bellaire High School, the University of Houston and was the Financial Account Manager at the West Houston Airport for 30 years. Joan was an avid and accomplished golfer with a swing to admire. She will always be remembered for her generous spirit, her great love for her family and her remarkable laugh which gave us great joy even at the end of her days. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to her sister-in-law, Cheryl Davis, for all the loving kindness and care she provided Joan. A celebration of Joan’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 5, 2008, at the Bethany United Methodist Church, 3511 Linkwood Drive, Houston, Texas, 77025, 713-667-7574.
