Jimmie Carleen Mark, 90, passed away Sunday, May 23, 2021. Born February 7, 1931 in Pearland, Texas to James C. and Ida Davidson Nichols, Carleen was raised with three siblings. Carleen graduated from Pearland High School where she met the love of her life and future husband, Mickey Mark. In the summer of 1952, she married her high school sweetheart, Mickey, and they were blessed with 68 wonderful years together. They kept their residence in Pearland throughout the years while enjoying traveling around the country as well. Carleen was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who truly had a servant’s heart. She volunteered at Clear Lake Regional Hospital for more than 25 years. She was a long time Pearland Little League and Pearland PTA volunteer. Carleen also enjoyed volunteering with Meals on Wheels through 1st United Methodist Church, Pearland, where she and Mickey were also members. Carleen will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Carleen is survived by her sons, Kenneth Mark and wife Phyllis, and David Mark and wife Christel; sister Armilda Hall and husband, Bill; grandson Justin Mark and wife Stephanie, and great grandsons, Blayne and Ethen Mark along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, and brothers, Jay Nichols and Charles Nichols. A Memorial Service for Carleen will be held Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 3:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581 with Rev. Dr. Keith Whitaker officiating.
