Clarence Cleveland Roachell (Scoot), 94, passed away peacefully at home with his family on June 25. He is proceeded in death by his wife of 55 years Pauline Roachell. He is survived by sons; Jimmy and wife Sue, Wayne Roachell and Mary Arvello, Danny and wife Nancy, daughters; Becky Krengle and husband Mike, Mary Chavers and husband Dwayne, sister; Linda Martin and husband John, brothers; Ted, Tim and wife Peggy, and a host of many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Clarence was a longtime resident and barber in LaPorte for over 40 years. He proudly served his country, in the United States Army during Korea. Clarence was a man of faith and lived his faith out. Clarence was known as a jokester and was always making folks laugh. He was a family man that truly- loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He was quite the fisherman and loved fresh, and saltwater fishing. He was known as the “Flounder Man”, by all who knew him. Clarence also loved to play a good game of dominos. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Services for Clarence will be: Visitation Tuesday, June 29, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Service Wednesday, June 30, at 10:00 am in the Clayton Funeral Home Chape,l 201 S 3rd St, LaPorte. Officiated by Rich Rashke and Brian Jagielski.
