Obituary of Lucile Elizabeth Mcgahey
Please share a memory of Lucile to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Lucile Elizabeth McGahey, 60, passed away Thursday, July 1, 2021. She is preceded in death by her father Don Fink Sr., and mother Maude Ellen Fletcher Fink. Left to cherish Lucile’s memory are her son Don McGahey; daughters Victoria Lynn, Samantha Goodale and husband, Oliver, Serenity McGahey; brothers Don Fink Jr, and wife, Lea, John Fink; sisters Roberta Huston, Felycia Lee; grandchildren Melony and Olivia Goodale, Eric, Nick and Donna Lynn, and a host of other dear family and friends.
Lucile was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She was one of the most dedicated and hardworking nurses you would ever meet.
Lucile started her career as an RN and received her Master’s in Nursing Administration. Through her successful career she later became a Nursing Instructor and Director of the ADN Program at San Jacinto College. After a time, Lucile missed being at the hospital and taking care of patients, so she returned to what she genuinely loved doing. Lucile had an extremely successful career of thirty-four years. She recently renewed her license and wanted to keep her certifications active even while dealing with her own failing health. Lucile truly had a servant’s heart all throughout her life. She was always taking care of and doing things for others.
Lucille’s greatest joy was her family and grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She was affectionately known as their “Grandma”. Lucile loved going on vacations and spending time with her family. She especially loved going to Disney World and traveling the world. Lucille will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
