Rosalie met her future husband of 65 years at Howard Payne College in Brownwood, Texas where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education. She subsequently received a Masters of Education degree from Texas Christian University in her hometown of Fort Worth, Texas.
Mrs. Ferguson was a retired school teacher teaching in the Alvin and Dickinson school districts as well as Alvin Community College. She completed her teaching career as a home bound teacher in the Clear Creek ISD. She authored the first book on the history of Pearland and donated copies to most of Pearland’s original families.
