Obituary of Mildred Ann Miller

Mildred Ann Miller, 86, passed away Monday, September 13, 2021. She is preceded in death by her parents Tom and Irene Stickler; loving husband, of 61 years Merritt “Spud” Miller Jr.; brothers Walter Stickler, Tom Stickler, Leroy Stickler; and sister Julie Nelson. Left to cherish Mildred’s memory are daughters Marian Miller, Juliene Acevedo and husband, Victor; son Robert Miller and wife, Karen; grandchildren Jennifer Torres, Kelly Eggers and husband, James, Joseph Miller and wife, Danielle, Nick Sughroue and wife, Vickie, Sarah Sughroue and partner, Tony Anglin; great grandchildren Samantha, Tyler, Joshua, Luke, Niles, Mackenzie, Kiara, and many nieces and nephews. Mildred was known by everyone as Mid. She grew up in Illinois, and is where she met and married the love of her life, “Spud”. They moved to Texas about 30 years ago and lived in Pearland. Mid loved animals, especially pug dogs. She raised many of them. Mid and Spud also had a couple of bulldogs they adored. Mid raised a couple of abandoned runt baby pigs, in her kitchen, back in Illinois, until they were big enough to relocate to a local farm. She called them Ethel and Mable. Mildred will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A memorial service date has not yet been determined.
