Obituary of Terry Jean Barfield

Terry Jean Barfield passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021. She is preceded in death by her father Weldon Hardin; mother Betty Hardin Emert; and grandson Tyler Stinson. Left to cherish Terry’s memory are her loving husband, of 16 years, Frank Barfield; sons Travis Stinson and wife, Joyce, Brad Stinson and wife, Amy, Chad Barfield; daughter Brittney Powell and husband, Toby; brothers Lee Hardin, Paul Hardin and wife, Fritzi, Justin Hardin; sister Tammy Scott and husband, Andy, Marie Pope and husband Scott; grandchildren Cody, Hunter, Caleb, Kylie, Zoey, Addy, Miranda; great grandchildren Hannah, Cooper, Corbin, Evan, and a host of other dear family and friends. Terry was born and raised in Georgetown, Texas. Georgetown always held a special place in Terry’s heart, and no matter where life took her, she would always call it home. Terry was known for her huge smile, caring heart, and Southern charm. You could always count on her to root for the underdog. If there was a cause or charity to support Terry would always jump in without hesitation. She was a lifetime member of the Pasadena Livestock Show and Rodeo, was involved with cooking teams, charities for the homeless, and children in need. Terry loved to travel, her favorite destinations included Belize and anywhere you could find dazzling blue water. She enjoyed playing cards, board games, watching movies, attending plays, shopping, and a good glass of wine. Terry truly treasured time spent with her family. She loved her children, but her grandkids were truly the purest joy in her life. You could depend on Terry to never miss a ballgame, dance, or birthday party if she could help it. Holidays with family were very important to her as well. Terry had a way of making everyone feel loved, and every occasion feel special. She loved nothing more than bringing joy to others, whether it was her family, or a total stranger. Terry will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
