Obituary of Kim C. Duplechain

Kim C. Duplechain, 54, of Katy, Texas, passed away Saturday, October 2nd. She is proceeded in death by her mother, Josephine Cortez; and son, Paul DeDear. Left to cherish Kim’s memory are her father, John Pena; husband, Frank Duplechain; son, Christopher Hollingsworth; daughter, Morgan Hollingsworth; brothers, John Pena, Michael Pena, Jacob Pena, and Jarrod Pena; sister, Melinda Pena; granddaughter, Abygail DeDear; and a host of dearly beloved family and friends. Kim had bright eyes and an infectious smile. Always charismatic, loving, open hearted, and joyful, she was the kind of person who lit up any room she walked into. Kim was devoted to her family and loved her kids, granddaughter, grand dog, her husband, and everyone else lucky enough to call her family. She was a huge foodie and delighted in cooking. Kim also enjoyed retail therapy, going out with friends and being near water. She especially loved staying home and spending time with her family. Whether it was watching movies or catching up on her shows, time spent at home with her family was time well spent for Kim. Her contagious attitude and joy for life will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
