Obituary of Charles G. Flowers
Please share a memory of Charles to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Charles G. Flowers, 50, passed away Wednesday, October 6th, 2021. Left to cherish Charles’ memory are his parents, Don and Glenda Bush; wife of 27 years, Jobie Flowers; daughter, Taylor Dyson (Dustin); stepson, John Clark; brother, Brandon Bush; sister, Teresa Ferguson Carlton (John Carlton); along with a host of other dear family and friends.
Charles was a man with an open, honest, and big heart. He was a hardheaded good ole country boy, but he would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. Friendly is an inadequate word to describe Charles’ disposition. He truly never met a stranger. Charles would run to the store for a few things and end up talking with new friends for over an hour. One of the greatest joys in his life was putting smiles on people’s faces. He could make you smile and laugh with his jokes and stories until it hurt. Charles’ selfless nature especially extended to his family. He would do anything and everything he could to make “his girls” happy.
Family was important to Charles. He kept all his family in a special place in his heart. Charles enjoyed getting together with them, and his friends, for poker nights; although he wasn’t able to as often as he would have liked. He liked to bake his famous chocolate chip cookies, and he claimed they were homemade. Charles had everyone fooled on that account. He never let Taylor throw away any food, anything extra went to the fish out behind his house.
Charles had a unique way of brightening any room with his friendly disposition and cheerful attitude. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
