Obituary of Kathy Jean Coler

Kathy Jean Coler, 67, passed away Friday, October 29, 2021. She is preceded in death by her father Douglas William Hill Jr.; mother Mara Lou Erwin Hill; and brother Douglas William Hill. Left to cherish Kathy’s memory are her loving husband, of 45 years, Tommy Coler; son Robert Charles Coler; daughters Tracey VanNess, Cheryl Calhoun; sisters Linda Stavinoha and husband, Ronnie, LuAnne Hill White and husband, Ronnie; grandchildren Hunter VanNess, Kylie Calhoun, Katelyn Calhoun, Kinley Calhoun, and a host of other dear family and friends. Kathy Jean Coler or “Queen” was so effortlessly kind and loving. Anyone who met her adored her instantly. She was supportive of anything her loved ones enjoyed doing and she spent many years cheering on her children and grandchildren. Whether it was at the softball fields or a gig in Cancun, Kathy was always there. She enjoyed listening to her son’s music and followed him from Cheyenne to Cancun, riding in the tour bus with the band. She also enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren, which was nearly a daily occurrence. Kathy lived her life to the fullest and was constantly achieving new dreams of hers. Just a few of her many ventures include Kathy’s Kiddie Korral, Coler Realty, Branching Out Flowers, and of course the Two Dog’s Saloon. Kathy never turned down an opportunity to have a good time and loved her trips to the casinos. She was truly the most selfless and giving person who never failed to take care of her family or her friends. Kathy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
