Obituary of Aaron Gilbert Hood

Please share a memory of Aaron to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Aaron Hood, 27, passed away November 17, 2021. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Armatha Thornberry, Stanley Hood Sr., and Carolyn Babin. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Kassie Bushong Hood; father, Stanley Hood; mother, Carol Babin Hood; children, Oliver Coll, Delilah Blain Hood (on the way); sister, Lita Ryno; grandfather, John Gilbert Babin; his beloved dog Princess, and a host of other family and friends. Aaron loved his family unconditionally. He centered his life around his wife, children, nieces and nephews, and his sister who was his best friend. Aaron liked to grill for his family and friends. Having all of them gathered around, enjoying the food he cooked brought him great joy. Aaron had a passion for cars and trucks, and you could usually find him working under the hood of one. But when his Oakland A’s were on you could be sure he would be watching and cheering them on. He loved Baseball and played for the city of LaPorte from the time he was 6 years old until he was 14. Aaron had a strong sense of adventure and loved to ride bulls or go for a ride on his Harley Davidson whenever he could. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him. Visitation will be Saturday November 27, from 1:00 – 2:00 pm. Service will follow at 2:00 pm in the Clayton Funeral Home Chapel 201 S 3rd St. LaPorte, Texas with D.J. Dickerson officiating.
