Walter was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather who cherished his family. He was married to the love of his life, Lucille for 38 years. His biggest joy in life was his family and he was a wonderful provider for them. Walter was a simple man, he was blessed with a lot of patience, and he truly enjoyed the little things in life.
Walter proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Arcturus. He graduated from the University of Texas with honors. Walter retired from the MD Anderson Cancer Center where he worked as a Building Engineer for over 30 years.
Strong in his faith, Walter absolutely loved the Catholic faith and spent countless hours absorbing all he could about the church. He was an avid reader and loved to learn. In his spare time Walter loved to make things out of wood, work in the yard, and collect books and stamps. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
