Obituary of James Franklin Boutwell

James “Jimmy” Franklin Boutwell Sr, 60, was born on January 5, 1961, in Pasadena, Texas, to Dwain and Jeanette Boutwell, and passed away Monday, December 13, 2021, at home in Houston, Texas. From an early age Jimmy was an adventurous guy. In his spare time Jimmy loved to hunt. He went to the farm and spent time there as much as he could. Jimmy was also very handy and could fix anything. If he didn’t know how, he would figure it out and tackle the job. Jimmy also had a big heart and helped so many when they had problems with things he knew how to fix. It may not have been perfect, but it was Jimmy’s way and it worked! Jimmy cherished his family and understood the importance of family gatherings for holidays and vacations. He always made sure he and Diane were present. Jimmy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his parents Dwain and Jeanette Boutwell. Left to cherish James’ memory are his loving wife, of 39 years, Diane Boutwell; son James Boutwell Jr. and wife, Kristin; brother Reggie Boutwell; sisters Connie Brown and husband, Walter, Joy McNally; grandson Nathaniel Boutwell, and a host of many other family and friends. A memorial service for Jimmy will be held on Monday, December 27, 2021 at 11:00 am, at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 West Broadway, Pearland, Texas with Pastor Keith Anderson officiating.
