Obituary of Rahul Malav Epili

Rahul Malav Epili was born September 10, 2019 in Houston, Texas to parents Ravi and Malisha Epili, and older brother Rihan Epili. Lovingly called Baby Rahul, he was known for his million dollar smile, playful curiosity, and his fist bumps. He adored all things trains, planes, and automobiles and never turned down an opportunity to eat yummy food. Rahul grew stronger and developed into a resilient, beautiful young boy, despite the challenges he faced living with Tuberous Sclerosis (TSC). Though his time with us was short, he touched many lives and was loved deeply by his family, friends, and Nanny Laura. Rahul passed away in his mother’s arms on January 14, 2022, at the age of 2. Rahul is survived by his parents, big brother, maternal grandparents Dr. Deepak Pattanaik and Sanjukta Pattanaik, maternal uncle Sumit Pattanaik, paternal grandparents Dr. Duryodhan Epili and Sabitri Epili, and paternal aunt Rekha Epili. The family is hosting a private funeral for close friends and relatives at the Clayton Funeral Home on January 21, 2022. See below for details.
