Obituary of Raymond Joseph Smoko Sr.

Raymond Smoko, 71, passed away January 10, 2022. He is preceded in death by his parents Raymond William and Dorothy Pack Smoko, and brothers Kenny and Robert Smoko. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Trenna Maughs Smoko; son Raymond Joseph Smoko Jr. and wife Venessa; daughters Sue Ann Stevenson and husband Christian, Rose Renee Lawton and David Pickett; brothers Mark Smoko, Charles Smoko, Steve Smoko, and Ronald Smoko; sisters Dana Schmitt, and Jane Manning Classic; grandchildren Dennis, Brianna, Noah, Rayden, and Desmond, and many other loving family and friends.
Raymond, “Skip” to those who knew him, was known for his kind and generous heart. He was a family man who loved his family dearly. He was always very proud of his children and what they have accomplished with their lives. Raymond was the best husband and father any family could hope for. He had a tremendous work ethic, and a passion for working hard. Raymond was a wonderful provider for his family and worked as a chemist for An-Tech Laboratories for over 30 years. In his spare time Raymond loved to collect toy trains, stamps, and coins. He was also an animal lover and cherished his furry friends. Raymond will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Services for Raymond will be held Thursday January 20 at the Clayton Funeral Home 5530 Broadway in Pearland. Visitation 10:00 am – 11:00 am Service 11:00 am interment will follow at the Grandview Cemetery in Pasadena.
