Obituary of Robert Thomas Miller

Robert “Bob” Miller, 67, passed away Friday, February 11th, 2022. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Merritt, and Mildred Miller. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 47 years, Karen Miller; son, Joe Miller and wife Danielle; daughters, Jennifer Torres, Kelly Eggers and husband James; sisters, Marian Miller, Juliene Acevedo and husband Vic; grandchildren, Sam Torres, Josh and Tyler Graf, and Luke Eggers; along with a host of many other dear family and friends. Bob was a wonderful person and will be missed by so many. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, provider, and friend. He was not only good, but great at anything he ever did. He put up a rough and tough exterior but had a heart of gold, with a soft spot for each of those he loved. Bob was born October 15, 1954, in Rockford, Illinois. He grew up in a small town nearby, Pecatonica, Illinois. In June of 1974, Bob married his high school sweetheart, Karen, and they raised 3 beautiful children and spent 47 wonderful years together. In 1982 they relocated to Pearland, Texas where Bob built a home for his family in 1985 with the help of Karen and 3 little ones. Bob was a true craftsman and handyman; there was truly nothing he couldn’t build or fix. He was always buying old cars, snowmobiles, or motorcycles to put back together. Nature and the outdoors held a special place in Bob’s heart. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, or any activity that allowed him to be outside. Bob loved taking his family on road trips across Texas and the United States to experience new places. The greatest pride and joy in Bob’s life were the times he got to spend with his family. He was immensely proud of each of his children, and grandchildren. There was nothing Bob enjoyed more than bragging on them. Services for Bob will be held at Clayton Funeral Home (5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas, 77581) on Saturday, February 19th. A visitation is scheduled from 9 to 10 am, with the service commencing at 10 am.
