Obituary of Sue Hays Langston

Sue Hays Langston, 75, left this world on Valentine’s Day, February 14th, 2022. She was born in Jacksonville, Florida and grew up in Lakeland, Florida. She graduated in 1968 from what is now known as St. Andrews University in Laurinburg, N.C. Sue is preceded in death by her parents, George and Lucy Hays, and her sister, Carolyn Hays Langston all of Lakeland, Florida. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Marvin Langston and her son, Scott and his wife, Nicole, and their three children, Tyler, Alyssa, and Ashlyn, all of Pearland, TX. All have been and are members of Epiphany Lutheran Church of Pearland. Sue began her love of teaching at Crystal Lake Junior High in Lakeland in the fall of 1968 teaching Algebra. She married in 1972 and moved to St. Louis, Missouri. There she taught Typing and Business Law at Lafayette High School. Sue and Marvin moved to Galveston, Texas in 1978, where she taught and enjoyed the children at Moody Methodist Preschool. In 1982, Sue taught Algebra and was an administrator at Trinity Episcopal School in Galveston. Teaching middle school Algebra for decades at Trinity, she developed many methods of teaching that made a great difference in students with their advanced studies of education. We know Sue will be inspiring angels in no time. Cremation is being handled by Clayton Funeral Home in Pearland, Texas and a private family service will be held.
