Obituary of Brenda Sue Petrvalsky

Brenda Petrvalsky passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 after a long and painful battle with lung cancer, at the age of 74. She was born March 26, 1947 in Freeport, Texas. Brenda started her long banking career in 1968 at Southern National Bank of Houston, followed by Meyerland Bank, and finished her banking career at Amegy Bank. In her spare time, Brenda enjoyed crafts, reading novels, casino gaming, cruises, and any other form of travel, especially going to Yellowstone National Park. She was always ready to book the next trip. Brenda is survived by her husband, of 51 years, Ray Petrvalsky; son Tim Petrvalsky; sister Vonnie Lakey; brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Ellen Petrvalsky; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Herbery and Clare Siegmund; father and mother-in-law, Raymond and Rose Petrvalsky; brother Bill Brose; and brother-in-law Lester Lakey. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to the SPCA of Houston, the Houston Humane Society, or the charity of your choice. Due to Covid issues, a memorial service will be held at a future date which will be announced later at Clayton Funeral Home, in Pearland, Texas. Services for Brenda will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 West Broadway, Pearland, Texas. The family will be receiving friends from 1:00 - 2:00 pm. The memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm.
