Obituary of Steven King

Steven King, 56, passed away January 12, 2011. He is survived by his parents, Joseph King and Phyllis Britton; son, Josh King and daughter, Jessie King; sister, Sheila Thomas and her husband Daniel; and nephew, Scott Thomas. Steve took every opportunity to engage life, not just live it. He enjoyed spending time with good friends and family, traveling, hunting, or scuba diving; he was sure to not let life tick by. As his passing has left us with fond memories of special moments punctuated by his flashy and infectious smile, let us part with a piece of him to incorporate in our own lives: Live Life! He devoted himself so zealously to his interests that he wore himself out, dying an old man only a little past middle age. At the early age of 56, Steve lost his battle with cancer at his home in Pearland, Texas surrounded by his loving family. Steve could accomplish anything he set his mind to and always appreciated the humor in life. Under a seemingly bullheaded exterior was a patient and loving father. His friends and family will treasure the memories, the joy, and his insatiable passion for life. Memorial services for Steve will be at on Sunday, January 16, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home at 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, TX 77581 with Pastor Keith Anderson officiating.
