Obituary of Myra Jean Harrell

Myra Jean Harrell, 81, passed away Monday, March 7, 2022. She is preceded in death by her parents Edward and Sabina Macicek; and loving husband, Raymond Gordon Harrell Jr. Left to cherish Myra’s memory are her son Ray Harrell; daughters Lori Guyton and husband, Wes, Brenda Guyton and husband, Wayne; brothers Clarence Macicek and wife, Sue, Edward Macicek and wife, Danielle; sisters Barbara Collins, Jo Alice Macicek, Debbie Watkins and husband, Mike; grandchildren Amy Muniz (Joseph), Julie Rearick (Kenny), Matt Guyton (Amanda), Ashley Ocha (Eric), Ray Harrell, Alton Guyton, Landon Guyton; great grandchildren Hanna, Corbin, Abigail, Kolbie, Aria, Luke, and a host of other dear family and friends. Myra was very strong in her faith and loved the Lord. She was a member at First Baptist Church Pearland and loved worshipping there. Myra worked in the food service department for P.I.S.D. for more than 30 years. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed cheering on her favorite teams. For many years Myra had season tickets to the Pearland Oiler’s football games. She also was a big Astros and Texan’s fan. Myra loved spending time gardening; she definitely had a green thumb and a passion for growing beautiful flowers. Myra enjoyed traveling and was blessed to have gone on two big trips in her life, Hawaii, and Europe. Myra also loved attending family reunions in West Texas. She enjoyed being with family and having Kolaches. Myra cherished her grandchildren and loved spending time with them. They affectionately called her “Grandma” and “White Haired Grandma”. Myra will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Services for Myra will be held at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 West Broadway, Pearland, Texas. Visitation is scheduled on Friday, March 11, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 12, at 10:00 am, with Pastor Mike Matthews officiating. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery, in Pearland, Texas.
