Obituary of Larry Randolph Roberts
Please share a memory of Larry to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Larry Roberts 88, of Seabrook, passed Sunday March 20, 2022. He is preceded in death by his parents, John L. and Lucy Curry Roberts. Left to cherish his memory are, his loving wife, of 69 years Norma Hayes Roberts; son, Tim Roberts, and wife Floramae; daughter, Renee Williams; grandchildren, Flora Mae, Robin Williams, and Donna Clay; great grandchildren, Timory, Rayley, Ally, Veyda, and Peyton, and a host of other family and friends.
Larry loved his family and provided well for them. He especially loved his grandchildren and was very involved with their upbringing. Serving his church, First Baptist Church of Seabrook, and the Lord, was important to Larry. For many years, Larry served as a Church Trustee, served on the facility committee, supported church workdays, mowed the 5 acre field at First Baptist Church, and was involved in many other church facility needs including major renovation of the church parsonage garage. His lowboy trailer was on frequent loan to the church, and Larry refused any compensation when the trailer was stolen when left parked at the church.
Known to be a straight shooter; you always knew where Larry stood on every issue. In his younger days he proudly served his country in the United States Army. Following his military service, Larry enjoyed a long and successful career as a Millwright, including 18 years working for NASA.
Larry was a talented man who could do anything he put his mind to. He was known to build beautiful chairs, stools, swings, piers, and even houses. In his spare time, he also loved riding motorcycles, gardening, and a well-kept lawn. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Graveside committal service will be held for Larry on Thursday March 24, at the Seabrook Cemetery in Seabrook, Texas with Rev. Rob Purdy officiating. The Service will commence at 1 pm.
