Obituary of Carmon Dickey "Dick" Carr

Carmon Dickey “Dick” Carr, 72, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2022. He is preceded in death by his father Carmon Dickey Carr Sr.; brother Curtis Whitney; grandson Ryan; and beloved pets Tic Toc, Tammy and Sammy. Left to cherish Dick’s memory are his mother Rita Whitney Carr; daughter Brooke Carr Hale; brother Peter Jeffrey Carr; sister Laura Weidenfield; grandson Andrew and a host of many other family and friends. Dick was a loving father who cherished his family. He was known for his wonderful sense of humor and finding the lighter side of any situation. Dick’s favorite place to spend time was on the water. He loved sailing and he enjoyed living on his SAILBOAT IN LEAGUE CITY. Dick was entrepreneurial minded. Two of his first successful ventures where a TV repair business and pest control business. Dick was also a food lover and he loved to cook. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A visitation for Dick will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2022, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 West Broadway, Pearland, Texas. A graveside service will be held for Dick at 2:00 pm, on Thursday, March 24, 2022, at Forest Park East Cemetery, in Webster, Texas.
