Baldemar “Peanut” Longoria Jr., of Pearland, passed away unexpectedly on April 15, 2008. He is preceded in death by his brother Eric Longoria. He is survived by his loving wife Norma; parents Baldemar Sr. & Diana Longoria; sons, Mark Anthony Longoria, Kie Cicherski, & James Cicherski; daughters, Desirae Longoria, Tiffany Longoria, & Eva Longoria; brothers, Darrel Longoria & Jacob Longoria; sisters, Terrie Landry, Margaret Longoria, & Mary Jane Ramirez; grandmother, Lydia Beltran; and a host of loving family and friends. Baldemar was affectionately known as “Peanut”. He was born in Sinton, Texas but lived in the Pearland area for the last eighteen years. He enjoyed many sports but was the biggest fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Astros. Peanut played softball himself and after retiring from the game he ended up coaching his team. One of his other pastimes was raising roosters. He also enjoyed fishing but especially loved spending time with Norma and his family. Peanut worked for the Brazoria Drainage District No. 4 for six years. He looked forward to working everyday and considered his job his second home. Peanut had fun playing practical jokes on his family and friends and was the life of any party. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation for Baldemar will be at 10:00 am on Friday, April 18, 2008 at Clayton Funeral Home in Pearland, Texas, 281-485-4446. A Celebration of Baldemar’s Life is at 2:00 pm, Friday, April 18, 2008, in the Clayton Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Michael Boston Sr. will be officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Houston Memorial Gardens, Pearland, Texas.
