Maria Christina Palacios, 82, passed away Friday, April 29. 2022. She is preceded in death by her parents Pablo J. and Florinda G. Rodriguez; brother, Carlos Rodriguez, sister, Carolina Pena; nephews George Pena and Guadalupe "Lou " Pena.
Left to cherish Christina's memory are her husband of 61 years Alberto Palacios Jr.; son, Edward "Eddie" Palacios and wife Gloria; daughter, Maria "Lottie" McNair and husband Bob; son, Alberto ''Burt" Palacios III and wife Gena; grandchild, Laura Flores (Ben Seibert); Andrew Charles McNair and wife Lauren, Jacob Brandon Palacios and wife Melanie, Marian Blythe Palacios (Daniel Russo), Nicole "Nikki" Christine McNair, Zachary Austin Palacios, Allison Paige Palacios; great grandchildren Ada Lee McNair, Louisa Lux Seibert, Reinhardt Anuanu Russo and one on the way; siblings, Catalina "Cata" Garcia and husband Leandro, Minerva ''Minnie" Rodriguez and husband Bernardo, Pablo "Paul" Rodriguez, Ernest Rodriguez and wife Cindy, Richard Rodriguez and wife Eva, Albert Rodriguez, Veronica "Ronnie" Hernandez and husband Robert.
Christina had a heart of gold and spent her life helping and serving people. Her generosity was unparalleled, she was an avid volunteer at St. Mary's Catholic Church including St. Vincent De Paul and the Bereavement committee within the community. Anyone can attest that she Jumped on every opportunity to help someone in need. As the matriarch of her family, she provided an example of unwavering strength and wisdom for all to emulate.
Christina loved the Lord, her family, and friends fiercely. One of the oldest of 10 siblings, she was relied on heavily to help run the home. Early on in her life she became a great role model for her siblings. She never met a stranger and absolutely loved bringing the family together over her delicious cooking. Her outgoing personality and zest for life positively impacted so many people. Much of her career revolved around running a home daycare program for children. Before leaving her daycare program, her kids learned respect, manners and the basic skills needed to be successful in school. Christina did everything with excellence. She loved to travel and enjoyed seeing new places. Her legacy of faith, hard work and service will continue for generations to come.
