Thomas “Tommy” Wayne Gust, 69, peacefully passed away on Friday, May 13th, 2022, at his home in Alvin, TX surrounded by his loved ones.
Thomas was born on May 29th, 1952, in Houston Texas and is preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Betty Wayne Gust; his brother Terry “Bub” Gust; and Grandmother Emily Asher. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 30 years, Gayle Gust whom he loved immensely. His love and devotion to her was unmeasurable. His Son’s Brandon Gust, wife Amanda; Pete Hooper, wife Amy; and Joe Hooper. Grandchildren, Dyllan Gust, wife Mackenzie; Andrew Gust; Ashton Hooper; Faith Muncey, husband David; Hope Hooper; and Special friend John Grimes. Tommy will be greatly missed by his family and many, many friends.
Tommy’s BEST asset was engaging himself with family, friends, and strangers. His gift to make you the highlight of the conversation was phenomenal, and you always left feeling great about yourself.
Tommy was very dedicated to his company AVID COM/ATRICOM Group. His loyalty to his company brought him joy and a sense of pride serving his community through Alvin ISD.
Tommy was an avid hunter and an excellent marksman. He never missed the turkey shoots at the Lions Club and made many steadfast friends along the way.
One of Tommy’s other loves was sailing. He was the best chief officer in command of the “Southern Cross” sailboat and spent many an evening sailing Galveston Bay with his best friend Gaines Andrews.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 10th, 2022, from 6pm -11pm at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Pearland Texas.
