Ralph Drexel, 93, passed away Monday May 16. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry J. and Edith Nelson Drexel; wife, Mildred Drexel; son, Ralph Drexel Jr.; brothers, Henry J. Drexel Jr. and Frank Francis Drexel; and great granddaughter, Ariana. Left to cherish his memory are his son, Henry Drexel and wife Martha; daughter, Rebecca Gomez and husband Richard; grandchildren, Laura, Amanda, Melissa and Sarah; great grandchildren, Terrin, Ethan, Paige, Gabe, Liela, Melody, Niko, Faith, and Addison; great- great - grandchild Xayne and a host of other dear family and friends.
Ralph was born on January 29, 1929, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. On August 21, 1951, Ralph married the love of his life, Mildred Edie. They had a great life together, spending 69 wonderful years in each other’s company. Ralph was a man who truly loved and cared for his family. He was an excellent provider and had a successful career as an Engineer, retiring from NASA and Boeing. Ralph was a talented man and could do most anything he set his mind to. He loved spending time in the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing in his spare time. Ralph will be truly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Services for Ralph will be held on Friday, May 27th, in the Clayton Funeral Home of La Porte chapel. (201 S. 3rd St., La Porte, Texas 77571) A Visitation will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 am, with the Service beginning at 11:30 am. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery in Pasadena, Texas.
