Obituary of Caroline Gonzalez
Please share a memory of Caroline to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Caroline Gonzalez, 48, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 29, 2022, surrounded by loved ones in the home of her beloved sister Rose, who made sure her last months were full of love and laughter. She is preceded in death by her brother Marin Gonzalez Jr.; sister Amy Gonzalez Slayton; and nephew Michael Gonzalez. Left to cherish Caroline’s memory are her father Marin H. Gonzalez Sr.; mother Maria Rodriguez Gonzalez; brother Robert Gonzalez; sister Rose Soliz and husband, Ray, Anna Gonzalez, Linda Soliz and husband, Rick, Connie Gonzalez, Hope Gonzalez and husband, Mitch Crowder, and a host of many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Caroline was a professional writer who published her own magazine at the age of seventeen. She interviewed and promoted many different rock bands including Marilyn Manson, Kings X, Metal Sniff, and the Gathering, along with a barrage of others. Caroline was extremely creative and was able to successfully navigate the printing world at a very young age. She grew into a well-known name in the rock music world through her career. As printing production declined Caroline remained active in the music scene as “Caroline’s Chaos” through various mediums. A great deal of lasting friendships developed through music, and some maintain 30 years later. To those friends, please know she held you dearly ‘til the very end.
Caroline was a kind and loving person to everyone she met and had a contagious spirit. Her smile and laughter lit up even the darkest of days. She loved her family unconditionally and took great pride in the love she shared for her great nieces and nephews. Caroline was known and admired for her ruby red hair, bright red lipstick, and beautiful soul. She always looked beautiful even on her worst days. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
